# NiFiMCP

Your next NiFi engineer is AI.

NiFiMCP is an independent open-source MCP project being built to connect AI assistants to Apache NiFi. Ask in plain English, investigate real flows, and get answers with receipts.

Status: early access; implementation in progress. The website demonstrates synthetic investigations, not a released MCP server.

## The first AI workflows
Explain unmatched routing, queue back pressure, and interrupted feeds with evidence operators can inspect. Findings distinguish observations, inferences, and unknowns. A NiFi SEND event is not proof of downstream indexing.

## Intended release
- Stock Apache NiFi 2.12.0; publish a tested compatibility matrix with each release.
- Python MCP server with local stdio transport, plus a CLI sharing the same investigation engine.
- Strictly scoped diagnostics. No flow mutation, replay, content download, or autonomous fixes in the first release.
- Local deployment and offline evidence bundles; no required hosted model or telemetry.
- Planned Apache License 2.0. GitHub repository and install instructions will appear after implementation and validation.

## Optional engineering
Focused investigations, deployment and handover, or engineers working alongside your team remotely or on site. Scope and access are agreed for each engagement. No clearance or certification is implied.
